Multifocal and Accommodating IOLs

Until recently, patients undergoing cataract surgery received a monofocal, or single focus intraocular lens (IOL). Monofocal IOLs implanted in both eyes generally provide excellent distance vision, but patients often need eyeglasses for near and intermediate vision. New lenses offer good vision at all distances - near, far and in between.

Brevard Eye Center offers the most advanced lenses for cataract surgery and refractive lens implants.

AcrySof® ReSTOR® IOL

The AcrySof ReSTOR IOL is a breakthrough intraocular lens (IOL) that can provide a full range of vision -- near through distance -- and greatly reduce your reliance on reading glasses or bifocals. The AcrySof ReSTOR IOL is for patients with and without presbyopia.

Crystalens

Crystalens is a single-focus cataract replacement lens that works naturally with your eyes' muscles to give you the quality of vision you enjoyed when you were younger. The revolutionary design element that makes Crystalens the state-of-the-art replacement lens are "hinges" which are designed to allow the lens to move, or accommodate to focus on objects near, far and all distances in-between seamlessly.

ReZoom Your View of Life With the ReZoom™ Multifocal IOL

The ReZoom™ Multifocal IOL is providing patients with a full range of vision and greater independence from glasses or contact lenses than ever before. Clinical studies show that 92% of those receiving the ReZoom™ Lens technology "never," or "only occasionally," need to wear glasses.

Tecnis

Tecnis is the first intraocular lens designed specifically to improve the functional vision of older drivers who undergo cataract surgery. Functional vision is the ability to see objects clearly under varying levels of light and in conditions such as rain, snow, fog and at night.
