Personal

Dr. Strunk was born in the heart of Dutch country in Reading, Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at Penn State University and worked as an Aerospace Engineer with N.A.S.A. during the Apollo program. He later returned to school at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree. He served his internship in subnormal vision at the Philadelphia Center for the Blind.  After practicing for a short while in Chambersburg, PA, he returned to the Space Coast to open his private practice in Merritt island.

Dr. Strunk and his wife, Ruth Ann, have resided in Merritt Island since 1979. His non-medical interests include gardening, computers, bowling and antique automobiles.
